Prof. PhD Vinod Aggarwal
Vinod (Vinnie) Aggarwal is a professor at the University of California at Berkeley, with guest appearances at the Travers Department of Political Science and the Haas School of Business. He serves as Director of the Berkeley APEC Study Center (BASC), Editor-in-Chief of the journal Business and Politics, and is Co-Chair of the U.S. Consortium of APEC Study Centers.
He has been a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, the University of Geneva's IOMBA program, INSEAD, Yonsei University, NTU Singapore, and Bocconi University. He is also a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations and founding member of the U.S. Asia Pacific Council.
Dr. Aggarwal consults regularly with multinational corporations, governments, and international organisations. In 1997, he won the Cheif Outstanding Teaching Award at the Haas School of Business for PhD teaching; he won first place for the MBA program in 2005. He is the author and editor of 18 books. His newest books are: Trade Policy in the Asia-Pacific: Ideas, Interests, and Domestic Institutions (with S. Lee) and Responding to a Resurgent Russia: Russian Policy and Responses from the EU and US (with K. Govella). He has also published over 80 articles. Dr. Aggarwal received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He was born in Seattle, Washington.
