Launching our Leadership Skills Labs

Leadership Development Overview

Our mission is to develop future generations of leaders—individuals who are ambitious, possess a learning and growth mindset, think critically, make decisions based on facts, and take ownership by acting effectively and responsibly in an increasingly complex world.

Leadership courses—referred to as “Lead”—play a central role in our program. While most MBA programs offer Organizational Behavior (OB) courses that study how individuals, groups, and larger units behave within organizations, our approach is different. We name our OB courses “Lead” because our focus is not merely on understanding behavior, but on learning how to influence it deliberately and effectively, in alignment with an organization’s mission and goals.

The primary aim of the Lead courses is to accelerate your development into a better leader—of yourself, of others, of teams, and of entire organizations. We believe leadership is best learned through practice and reflection rather than solely through theoretical study. For this reason, our Lead curriculum is built around Leadership Skills Labs (LSLs). These labs are intensive workshops lasting from half a day to three days, where you will engage in exercises, role plays, and simulations. Throughout these experiences, you will receive in-depth feedback from qualified coaches and faculty and will be encouraged to reflect on the impact of your actions.

Our MBA program includes a total of nine Leadership Skills Labs, categorized into three core areas: cognitive, social and integrative leadership skills. These categories, along with their corresponding number of labs and focus areas, are outlined below:

Each of these labs is designed to target a specific set of leadership behaviors. Whether you're building interpersonal effectiveness, sharpening decision-making, or learning how to lead through organizational change, the labs offer a hands-on, feedback-rich environment to strengthen your leadership capacity.
