Rea is a visionary leader with 15 years of experience driving data and AI transformation across businesses and government agencies. As CDO at CSS, Switzerland’s leading health insurer, she is dedicated to transforming the Swiss health ecosystem through data-driven innovation and AI-powered solutions. Previously, she built and led the group-wide Data & AI organization at LGT, establishing the strategic foundation for leveraging data as a key asset. She was responsible for defining and executing the company’s data and AI vision, creating the necessary structures, teams, and capabilities to embed data-driven decision-making across the organization. Earlier in her career, as a Research Associate at the Swiss Institute of Information Science she conducted research in knowledge graphs, linked data, and semantic technologies, exploring how intelligent data structures can enhance information management and AI based decision-making. Beyond her executive roles, she is an active guest lecturer, speaker, and mentor, passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering future leaders in data and AI. Her academic background includes an Executive MBA (embaX) from HSG and ETH, alongside Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Science and Business Administration from HTW Chur.
