Prior to joining the MBA Programme of the University of St.Gallen as Executive Director, Claudio was a former Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he held several leadership positions at the management consulting firm. Among those, he was the Managing Partner of McKinsey Greece and of McKinsey Switzerland, he led McKinsey’s global leadership development practice, and he was a member of the Shareholders Council, the firm’s global board of directors.
Since 2019, he has been a member of the Executive Education Committee and the board of the Executive School of Management, Technology, and Law. He is also a Lecturer at HSG. He lectures on innovation, decision-making, and leadership in various pre-experience and executive education programs at both the University of St.Gallen and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich.
Claudio holds an M.A. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Berne and an MBA from INSEAD.
Beyond his professional achievements, Claudio is also a published author who has written extensively on innovation, decision-making, and leadership.
Claudio is married and has two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and playing sports. He also enjoys long walks with Ellie, the family’s dog.
Born in Basel and raised in Italy, Claudio studied in Berne and now lives in the canton of Schwyz. He is a Swiss citizen and speaks German, English, Italian, and French.
